    OBD Scan Tool

    Hi,

Just curious which brand of scan tool everyone uses on their tucks.

I'm ideally looking for one that can read engine/trans info.

I really appreciate any help you can provide.

If you want to scan all modules, not just the ECM I would recommend Autoenginuity with the Chrysler enhancement.

You will need a Windows laptop for this USB version ($479) with the Chrysler Enhancement.

They also have a wireless version for Android or IOS but more expensive ($800) with the Enhancement bundle.

    Re: OBD Scan Tool

Autoenginuity looks like a good system less expensive than a Snap-on equivalent.

    Thanks for the recommendation.

I have an old H&S tuner, and I think it's one of the Chinese copies, so I'm a little reluctant to plug it into my truck if anything happens to the ECM.

I’ve been using the AlfaOBD app on a tablet that’s never been on the internet except to download the app from Google play.

    AlfaOBd and the OBDlink MX+.

Do all kinds of enabling/disabling stuff. force a Regen, calibrate actuators, and so much more.

Now, if i can only get my turn by turn maps to pop back up in my center cluster after futzing around with it a while back.

I enabled the SRT performance pages and some other stuff, but when I switched back, I lost them.
