I plan on changing mine every 15k miles as recommended.

I use the Fleetguard Stratapore filter.

I am big on oil cleanliness and even though it can go extended drain times I don't plan on it.

Currently I change the oil about every 10 months so an extra $100 per oil change is cheap insurance in my book.

I do all my own maintenance so if I end up having to run over the 15k mark for a bit to get home I know I am good.

Bob: Do you have your by-pass filter base mounted in the engine bay or frame rail?

Originally my bypass filter was attached to the engine, which lasted about two months until the bracket failed due to metal fatigue.

I then mounted it to the frame rail on the passenger side. No problem ever since and easier to change. See before and after photos.

    Bob for the PICS!

This is probably the direction I will go when the time comes.
Extending my OCI out to 2 -3 years would be well worth the cost of the system and extra filter.

I had purchased this kit from Oil Charge Systems.

When the bracket broke I reused the filter head, mounted it to the frame then made up longer hoses.

They offered to send me a new bracket but I didn’t want to take the risk.

Anyone got a Fleetguard Stratapore Filter part number for direct Mopar oil filter replacement?

I think this is definitely the route I want to go and probably T6 oil.
