Service Required - See Dealer Now - Then Stalls

I get alarm on the overhead service required, see dealer now with no codes, is in limp mode can drive about 2 miles then stalls.

I read on several other forums, try this try that, stick out your tongue lift your left foot, nothing seems to work and no one ever says what did work if anything, I am at a lose and truck has been down for several months, I need some help.

'08 Ram 2500 6.7, lost some parts 6 years ago breathes better, has Raceme jun (basic) the turbo went 2 years ago replaced with the BD screamer, about 8 months ago the head cracked at the water jacket replaced with a Jasper head with upgraded studs, ran great for about a month now, get limp and stall like it is trying to Regen but can't and the tuner won't tell not to.

The local shops don't have a clue.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

If I am in the wrong place to post feel free to tell me.

Have you ever changed the CCV filter?

I put it in performance mode and warmed it up.

It ran great as it should then at 1 1/2 miles got the alarm and went into limp mode at 3 miles it stalled with no codes.

Odd that you are not seeing any trouble codes.

Have you tried returning to stock and re-flashing your tunes to the ECM?

    Yes tried that several times.

I disconnected the batteries for a couple hours from stock then from different modes.

It just will not clear and I tried the brake pedal and gas pedal trick, nothing seems to work. (oh, btw it is 71 here today).

there is no cel, no codes only overhead warning “service required, see dealer now”

Did you or someone accidentally plug something back in under the hood when doing the head work?

Other than that, I do remember getting that message every 800-1000 miles with my 08 running smarty.

However a simple clear codes reset it and it would be good for another 1000.

That was just the way it was due to ecm counters not seeing a Regen.

I know this isn't your case, but it got me to wondering if your sure your not flashing the stock file to it?

I have tried different modes with the same results but that makes sense plugging in something that shouldn’t have.

It looks like I need to do some climbing and digging, thanks that may have helped.

I will follow up so if someone else crosses that bridge it may help thanks again will get back.

    Steve
