Gear Ratios

So doing a little digging it seems like 13-18 the default gear ratio was 3.42 for all SRW trucks and 4.10 for DRW.

I have been looking for some uses work trucks saw Aisin equipped trucks and seems like they all have 3.42.

I thought the Aisin was a 3.73 gear ratio.

My 15 purchased new had the 3.73 gears with the Aisin.

Can anyone confirm that the Aisin get the 3.73 and not the 3.42?

If you’ve got the vin for it use the link below.

Back out the vin at the end of the URL and insert the vin of the vehicle you want to check.

Now you got me confused! Just checked the factory sticker on my 2014 DRW and under “standard equipment” it lists 3.73 Rear Axle Ratio, but then under “Optional Equipment” they added $50 for the 3.73 ?

Yeah 3.73 is what ram used in the dually vs 4.10 like they are now.

Yeah the one I’m looking at probably does. I’ll be needing a gear set for it because I have driven them that way and they are a pia towing.
