Thread: Trans Relearn After 68RFE Installation?

    Trans Relearn After 68RFE Installation?

Does anyone know if a transmission relearn is required or recommended after the installation of the BD Proect68?

I have my own programmer to up the line pressure.

I have not read anywhere that it is required - just wanted to see if anyone has done this and what their results were.

    Cheers

Correct me if I am wrong but Any time you reflash the ecm/tcm would require a quick learn and relearn process.

    Switching between tunes doesn’t.

I believe this is a correct statement.

FWIW DRD had me do a 30 mile relearn when swapping in my RevMax HD valve body.

My understanding is the clutch values were still saved into the PCM so it’s just an adjustment for the higher pressure more than a whole relearn.
