    AMSOIL EA080 Oil Filter Issue

Around the middle of last year I installed an AMSOIL EA080 engine oil filter that I ordered directly off AMSOIL site with no issues.

This past weekend I did a oil change.

Ordered the exact same filter from AMSOIL site again and it wouldn’t fit.

The female threaded connector on this filter was smaller.

I don’t think I made any mistakes when I ordered it and both filters have the same model number on them.

Just curious if anyone has seen this before?

    Definitely odd.

But I bet AMSOIL will take care of you if you reach out to them.

They have pretty solid customer service.

I reached out to them, no response yet.

    I’ll update if they respond.

So... I heard back from Amsoil, they said it looked like the wrong end plate was in fact installed on that particular EA080.

They offered to send me a replacement filter and some oil.

    Good on them for that.

Lesson learned, inspect your parts thoroughly beforehand.

It sucks to get half way into something and have a issue like that.
