    EGR Parts Removal Questions

I've ordered my parts to "fix" my truck.

Thanks to all who pointed me in the right direction, either on my thread once moved or via PM.

This forum is really great, glad to be here.

Regarding the removal of EGR parts, I plan on not doing that for now; I don't need to "clean" the engine bay.

I don't entertain much in there, LOL.

I may eventually try to install an onboard air compressor in there, so that may be an added benefit from parts removal, we'll see.

I've read on here that people think the EGR cooler may eventually rust, puncture and leak coolant.

Is there anyone on here with a deleted truck that has run the truck leaving the unused parts on for a while after delete with no ill effects?

I really don't want to think this over or spend money unnecessarily.

I know I have a new clutch in my near future I need to deal with, and I cannot tackle that job myself.

    TIA!

You may want to consider removing your DEF tank and install your air compressor in that location as some others have done.

    Just a suggestion.

    Always great ideas.

If you do not want to spend money then definitely don't start looking at suspension parts. LOL.

    Wouldn't worry about it.

There are a lot of far fetched hypotheticals on the ole forums.

Leaving mine until I do a 2nd Gen swap.

    You’ll be fine.

If you do plan on removing them I would maybe shop for some kits/parts needed and store them on the shelf.

Things are hard to find with the way EPA is and with Grandpa Biden in office now no telling what will or won’t happen.

I have secured the necessary hardware myself.

Time will tell if I will actually install.

So I just ordered my tuner from the doctor and I was wondering the same about removing the egr. I may not do it right away but should I buy the kit now? Can anyone point me in the right direction of where to buy the kit? 2021 2500
