Example. In the middle of February I had a wheel bearing go bad. I sent it out. Simple job. Instead of the guy using a socket and ratchet, he used an impact gun. Normally that would be fine IF there was sufficient room for the gun to go square on the bolt. 4 months later the bearing went bad again, warranty issue. So I began to do the job myself. Knuckle head rounded off the 4 bolts. It's a good thing I have large extractors.

In this case, it was a friend of mine who borrowed my truck for 7 weeks! There was more than just this I was disappointed about. We're not talking now
Very disappointing! Pleased to hear you had the right tools and were able to take care of it. Great point it’s easy to get in trouble with those impact guns.

That's why I have 3. 1 is a 3/8. In his case, it was more lazy and ignorant.

My wife said my nightmare will be the garage when I die.

I keep telling her there's a lot of money in there.

Insurance company did an inspection and valued the contents over 300K.

In time I'm going to start cleaning out.

I can add that to my retirement fun.

Too old for any new 4 wheeled toys. LOL

    Yup!

    I know what you mean.

    I found the cause.

It was due to a repair someone told me they did but didn't.

I ended up with a new PCM.

I sincerely hope that person never shows up at my house again.
