    Banks Intake?

Has anyone done the banks intake on their 6.7? If so what are thoughts? Or just thoughts of it in general?

    Re: Banks Intake?

I went with the Pusher intake.

From what I have researched the Banks intakes did not offer noticeable power improvements (neither does the Pusher) so it was not worth the price to me.

I was just looking to lose the throttle valve.

Since there was no noticeable gain I did not want to mess with fuel line required by the Banks.

The Banks also has the risk of dropping a bolt into the intake plenum when installing the rear middle bolt through the intake.

Ordered my intake from Dude's Diesel, good service and price.

Just Me - I really like the Looks of the Pusher over the Banks!

Banks = Your paying almost double just to have that Banks name stamped or engraved --> with very little proven dyno benefit.
The Quality of his products are all of the Highest Quality - but I feel I will NOT receive any extra benefit from that extra $$$ spent - when compared to Very Similar Products.

I'm just not a Fan of Over Spending my hard earned $$$ - Just for that Banks name (BANKS) to be seen by others!

I am a fan of the IDash 1.8 66560 (Super Gauge) - & all that it can monitor - but the $$ amount for it - Is Ridiculous (In My Opinion)
His CAI for our 6.7L is just way Sexy - But I don't need it - The Stock Ram-Air works extremely sufficient for my needs & future needs.

Ok and I know the banks is about 400 or so. Is the pusher price basically the only difference in the 2? As far as performance they are the same? I’ll do some research as well just wanting ideas on where to start.

For power levels under 900-1000hp they will all be the same.

It would take really big power to get down to what flows best.

According to banks his is best in the market (his test results).

I would just go with what you like the look/design of and is in budget.

Agree. Unless you are going to remove the grid heater, add fueling and injectors, head studs, and upgrade your turbo to make big power, you will not notice a difference between the two intakes.

The Pusher has a nice powder coating inside and out, easier install, lower price.

    Re: Banks Intake?

    I got the banks.

Really it was the one I liked the best that had ports for mechanical boost gauge and more already there.

Don’t think it makes more power, but that’s not why I got it.
