OH NO - Tire Size Question

Until I get my Thuren stuff on.

    My current stock 2017 3500.

    Can I fit 315/70R 18?

Toyo says inflated dia is 35.7.

I can't remember my KMC wheel specs, but I ordered bs offset, etc., in the range Thuren recommended.

So anyone knows if these will rub to the point, it's unsafe till getting the Thuren on.

OH NO - Tire Size Question

Are the tires going on you current wheels?

If so make a spacer out of wood or cardboard to make up the difference in width and height between the 295’s and 315’s.

Then have someone turn you wheel and check clearances, if more than an 1.5” do not worry about it.

If less it would be worth while testing with the suspension compressed in the front.

On a stock wheel 35's will rub on the control arm at full lock.

The spec of your wheels will be the deciding factor.

OH NO - Tire Size Question

My 295 are almost down to 3/8 tread left so they are maybe more like 34" now.

    The diameter should be ok.

The width on turning is more of a concern.

Its enough for me to think about just because i'm getting a good deal if I do on the toyo MT's

Damn tire dilemma LOL. Can get a good deal on 285/75/18 Cooper at3 xlt and yokohama geolandar x-at as well.

I just know I wont do the nitto ridge grappler again.

    To much balance fighting.

Always rotated and did chalk testing.

    Ball joints are good.

Could be as well my driving

Style and stiff stock 3500 front end.

OH NO - Tire Size Question

I think your going to be fine with either tire choice.

At worst you may need to trim the plastic wheel liner.

Another suggestion is get one mounted for a check.

Worst case you are out mounting cost.

OH NO - Tire Size Question

Well as of today all tires I was looking are out till next month.

The only ones I could get and will be available this coming Monday were cooper at3 xlt.

    Shoe size 285/75/18. 34.8.

    Load rating just over 4000k.

Mount balance and free rotation and free repair $1380.

    Have a 60k mile warranty.

I don't expect to get 60k on any tire especially a long bed Cummins.

But its warranty will be there and I know I'll get more life than these ridge grapplers.

I'll post some pics when I get them on.

You’ll be close depending how much you tow. I got 49k on a 3500 SRW and towed heavy a few times a 200 mile round trip. Toyo RT ive got that many out of with 4-5k miles towing my fifth wheel and hay and tractors.
