    New DTC P262D

So I replaced the connector and maf sensor today.

I now have new codes that I haven't seen before p262D.

I started the truck after replacing sensor and connector to see this code.

I deleted the code and went for test drive, code didn't come back.

I let truck sit for 3 hours, started it up again, code came back.

Performance is not changed, no limp mode, turbo spools, just has a code.

    Any ideas on this one?

If I'm not mistaken that's a sensor voltage circuit low code.

A general scanner won't delete it, you'll need an actual scan tool if memory serves me right.

What constitutes an actual scan tool?

I used a basic one that reads codes and deletes them.

A dealer or high end snap on type scan tool.

An auto parts store or programmer obd scanner won't clear it.

Something isn't right if this just showed up after a sensor install.

It could just be a fluke as well.

Ok. If I clear it with a better one and it still comes back, but still no performance changes, what should be my next step?

I would retrace my install of the sensor to make sure nothing was overlooked first.

An actual scan tool will tell the tech or whoever exactly what's causing it.

Did you just replace the sensor itself?

Yes. I replaced the maf sensor due to the "nipples" on the top of it being broke off preventing the connector from locking.

I got a new sensor to hopefully fix the p0111 code I was getting.

I was able to delete the p0111 code before and drive around less than 30ish miles with no check engine light coming on.

The second I went further it would turn on again, however, I had no performance loss.

After replacing the sensor, upon immediate start up, I got the p0111 and p262d code with 2 bcm codes.

I drove around with 0 performance loss.

I was able to delete all.

Drove for 15 miles or so, still good.

I started truck after 3 hours and got the p262d and 2 bcm codes back.

I haven't been able to drive for 30+ miles yet to see if I get the p0111 code again, though.

I still have 0 performance loss.
