    Front Parking Sensors

    Hey everyone!

So my truck is a 2018 Laramie and has the front and rear parking sensors.

One day, the front ones just stopped working all together.

On the screen it says "service front sensors" and the button to turn them on/off does nothing.

    Any ideas?

    Rear ones still work fine.

I've looked for loose wires, etc.

    Came up with nothing.

Snow, rain, ice buildup can cause that.

I have had it happen to the fronts on my 2016 immediately after going thru a car wash.

Check all connectors, blow out any crap with compressed air.

My fronts started working again with no further action.

Great advice, this is the best place to start.

If this doesn’t fix the problem, then you will need to scan the Parktronics module for codes to figure out which sensor has failed.

One bad sensor generally will stop the others from turning on.

You will not be able to scan the Parktronics module with your MM3.

You will need a more in-depth scanner, l use Autoenginuity with the Chrysler enhancement.

If you do end up needing to replace a sensor don’t try to save money with the ones on Amazon as they will not work.

Be prepared to spend somewhere between $200-$300 each from the dealership.

    Hope this helps.

Not cheap but the OEM mounts, sensors, and harness work very well.

I purchased and installed a set of OEM parking sensors in my slide-in camper rear bumper so that when the camper is on the truck (blocking the truck's normal rear bumper) I can still have the use of the parking sensor display on my Longhorn's instrument cluster.

    Works perfectly!

    That's pretty good.

How do the camper sensors work without the rear sensors on the truck going off with the camper attached?

If I remember correctly he plugs and unplugs the two strings as needed.

    Exactly!

The sensor jack is next to the 7 blade trailer connector.

I just connect to truck bumper or camper bumper as needed.

I take the camper off the truck at every stop so I had to make it convenient.
