OBD Splitter - Multiple Connections To ODB

I have an MM33 and have installed a aftermarket radio that also has someone odb features.

I have tried using a cheap eBay splitter but it seems like my MM3 is taking control and not letting the data flow through to the head unit.

Could it be the splitter or is this just the way it's designed?

I have the splitter plugged directly into the OBD port.

One connection going to the MM3, and one to my headunit.

Could be the splitter, but it’s generally recommended not to use a splitter with the MM3.

You may end up having to use the OBD port for one device at a time.
