    G56 Valair Dual Disk Quiet Organic Concerns

    I've got a 2018 2500 with the G56 and have had the DD clutch since 30k miles. I'm at 70k miles now.

    The initial break in took some time, but smoothed out over time.

    Over the period of having the clutch in for 40k miles it has always been hard putting it into gear from a stop.

    If I put it in 5th before a light, there is no issue going into 2nd.

    Same goes with putting the truck in 1st before going into reverse.

    Also 3rd before 1st.

    Has anyone else had this issue?

    The clutch pedal is the same height as the brake pedal, and I have the recommended Mobil gear oil in it.

    I don’t have a DD clutch yet but curious if someone else is having this issue and what the cure was.

    Double clutch it.

    You can do it while moving going through the gears and at a red light.

    I have the Southbend setup and don't have any issues.

    Does the Valair have upgraded hydraulics?

    My Southbend kit came with upgraded hydraulics.

    Also, I am running Royal Purple Synchromax with the +1 quart.

    I have about 90K miles on my setup.

    I'll having to try double clutching next time.

    I do have the upgraded hydraulics, that's a must have.

    Other than being stiff at times this clutch is very solid.

    I'll probably be replacing my clutch soon and was torn between South Bend/Valair, and single disc/ dual disc setups.

    From personal experience with both brands, Valair I've noticed seems to be harder to get in gear.

    I have their street triple disc in my truck and I have to put in another gear before going to first or 2nd at a light.

    Also have to go to a gear before reverse.

    That truck is an NV5600.

    My dad has a G56, just did a south bend organic dual in his, and still shifts like stock.

    Ran south bend in my old 12v with no issues.
