Best 68RFE Transmission

Forgot some... ATS, Suncoast, NextGen to name a few.
You in need of a new tranny or just planning things out in advance?
I'll be watching this thread.

Ats and nextgen are complete trash.

Suncoast is not the best option for 68RFE.

Their new od drum is nice but I’d go with a revmax od drum for the price.

Dallas Pen owner of Redhorse motor sports was part owner of suncoast or his family owned suncoast I can’t remember. But he uses mostly revmax parts with exception of converters if that tells you anything.

Big name guys I’d recommend Redhorse Revmax or Randy’s not in any particular order.

Join some 68RFE pages on Facebook there’s quite a few shop who have the same quality builds as these guys but have better prices.

What does everyone think about RevMax, Firepunk, Randy’s Transmissions, B&D, as far as best transmission, best warranty, best parts, best customer service, the best company to deal with, and best overall customer satisfaction and best price and biggest bang for your buck?

Revmax, Randy's & Suncoast get my vote and in that order.

I’d go RevMax.

Bigger brands aren’t always better but they get big/well known for a good reason.

I’d have the reputable shop install the Revmax unit or one of their approved shops.

I tried going with a local well reviewed shop with my 48re and it didn’t go so well.

Not saying all local shops are bad but some folks do get in over their head with performance items!

when my 68 trans went out i went with a revmax 700 and i don't regret my choice its been great for the past 20k miles with about id say 40 or so 4wd launches at 7600lbs trucks at about 550-600ish

i stick to 8-14. quickest its ran was a 13.2 at 104mph

Thanks for the info- I was thinking 10 psi ball park would be the best so thanks for confirming. Less isn’t enough and more than that you can’t get tires to hold

yeah when i try more than 15psi it spins a little bit. trucks running 48-50 psi wot. definitely thinking about doing some fuel upgrades soon
