I mean what if you got a bad batch of fuel?

    Where does the water go?

Is the water just held there?

Eventually it would get to the injection pump...

If you search around you'll find some Duramax guys that hate them. I was skeptical as well, so I use a Wix water separator with a drain... part # WF 10022. If you want, you can add a clear bowl to the bottom of that... part # WS 10003. For the filter I use a Wix # 33693 and then a GDP engine mount filter setup with a Big Line Kit feeding the CP3. For that filter I use a Donaldson Blue DBF 5814. If using just the Fass setup, I would use that Donaldson filter there. This is just me on my 2012. I'm no filter expert by any means.

I use the Fleece Aux Kit as my front filter and the Donaldson it comes with has a built in drain valve.

The 12- trucks is where Fass/Airdog got their claim to fame, on trucks with poor fuel filtration.

We sell a ton of Fleece/FASS/Airdog but the reason I push Fleece on 13+ trucks is because:
    1. Less chance of fuel leaks
    2. 13+ trucks have great factory fuel filtration
    3. No sump line to get ripped off by road debris

At least with the factory filtration you can bleed off water.
    Just my .02
So your saying if you have a 12 your better off with a FASS or Airdog and a 13 or above better with the Fleece ?

In my opinion, yes. 13+ filtration is excellent and unless customer is around 700+ HP then there won't be any flow issues.

    It’s great.

Filter changes are easy and cheaper than OEM.

    Which part?

The FASS is super tight on a short bed truck.

If I was deleting and keeping the truck for a long time I’d pull the def tank and mount the FASS there.
