    NOX Sensor Replacement

Is there any reprogramming or relearning that needs to be done after a downstream NOX replacement on a 4th Gen (2017)?

Not that I know of, mine threw a Code.

I plugged in my code reader and cleared good to go after that.

    You should be good.

    Thank you.

The dealership wants $1260 to replace it.

I should have never brought it to them and now I owe a $160 diagnostic fee.

NOX sensors aren't cheap but nowhere near what the stealership wants.

Last one we replaced on a Peterbilt with a Cummins ISX15 was $450 for the sensor and that was purchased from a Peterbilt stealership.

Where they get $1260 is insane to be nice about it.

Glad I do my own work.

I don't even want to get started on the $160 to pull the rig in and take what?

30 minutes to plug into the OBDII port and click a few buttons?

    WOW, just WOW.

To stay on topic they are easy enough to replace as long as you can get to it without pulling the exhaust out.

I do my own work but I took a chance on it being under warranty.

Get my finances in order and I won't have to worry about the sensor again, and wake the truck up a bit.

I should mention that before you take out your NOX sensor put some penatrating oil on as it makes it come out easier, and before you put new one in put some anti-seize on the threads if it ever goes out again will come out easier.

They can be very stubborn at times.
