Star is Cummins warranty department

FCA has there own warranty department

Any part that is on a Cummins engine is warrantied through star. Any part that is out side of the engine is warrantied by FCA. Star will walk techs through when they can’t do it them selves. But it is still two separate departments. I’ve been a dealer since I was born. My family has been in dealers since 1950’s.

I’m in south Texas and have had vehicles go to Mexico and get warranty work done and they had totally different guidelines for star and warranty than we do.
