    Water In The Fuel Filters

When it rains heavy I get the "water in fuel filter" message.

It only comes up in heavy rain.

The first few times i got this message I drained the filters then stopped when I noticed it went away.

Is this something to be concerned about?

Has anyone else had this happen?

I am wondering if somehow moisture is flying up and getting to the sensor.

Or water is getting into my tank somehow?

When you drained the filters did you notice any water?

    What year is your truck?

    No water in the fuel.

    The truck is a 2014.

I’m wondering if water is getting into the wiring connector causing the WIF light to come on?

I was wondering this as well.

I just didn't know if that would cause a warning.

Is there a separator on the front filter as well?

Yes, you have two WIF sensors one for each fuel filter.

I would recommend disconnecting both and make sure they are clean and dry then add some dielectric grease when you reconnect them.
