Yes, you would get all kinds of codes unfortunately but it would rule out the tunes for sure.

    Maybe see what @cumminsdieselfreak suggests.

I think what AK is referring to is to return it to stock then reload your files back onto the truck to make sure the loading process wasn't interrupted somehow.

This has happened before though somewhat a rare event.

You really need to hook a code reader up to it to see if it's throwing any codes because if it is then we can better help you fix this problem.

Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to check your intercooler boots just for good measure because if one has somehow blew off or if you've split one then it result in a no/low boost situation.

I've also seen rats nests so bad in people's air boxes that the air filters are completely blocked off as well.

Agreed, thanks for clarifying and a better code reader is a good idea as the MM3 only checks for permanent ECM codes and doesn’t check for pending or codes in other modules.

Before I installed the Geno’s actuator it was throwing a lost communication with turbo code.

Now it doesn’t throw one but, still have the issue.

    I have an OBD scanner.

I’ll see if that says anything.

Lost comm's is the actuator so you done right by getting a new one.

Did you get coolant in the new one when you installed it?

Re: EB Working Intermittently Since Installing Warp Tuning

    Hey guys,

I checked my obd scanner today and the only thing that came up was an old code, from 92 warm ups ago, U010E. It was from the old actuator.

I completely drained the coolant and made sure it was free of debris before installing the Geno’s one. So, I’m not sure how coolant could have made it into the actuator.

So no codes since installing the new actuator. Did you check your intercooler boots and air box? My thinking is perhaps the lack of boost is due to the turbo vein sticking at startup either due to carbon or actuator intermittent failure to move the vein. You could try monitoring actuator actual vs desired trends with your MM3.

I’d really like to monitor that! I have the raceme, can you do it with that?

Thanks, I wasn’t aware that the RaceMe Ultra is not able to compare VGT actual vs desired. Perhaps Autoenginuity would be the next most cost effective way to monitor and plot them. I like it because it’s easy to use and scans all modules.
