    Fleece Coolant Bypass Kit

Hello, so I keep seeing this kit and been getting mixed opinions about weather or not it is needed.

I have a 2014 2500 that will hopefully see 750-800 hp range. Should I do bypass kit or not?

Don't want do it if it not needed.
    Thanks!

With the cost of that kit I’d like to hear more about it from what some guys have to say that have experience with these engines.

For one I’ve known a lot of guys running these Cummins with a lot of HP and have never heard of overheating issues and blowing out freeze plugs.

I am going to get a coolant filter kit on mine and run one of those for sure.

There are a couple options. Most popular for cleaning up the engine bay is the Fleece reroute kit and is actually the coolant riser delete.

If you want added coolant going to the head then the pusher kit is pretty popular. That is a more refined kit relatively speaking.

A long way to answer your question of NO it’s not a necessity but you can if you choose

No it's not needed but just more of a good measure type of thing.

I'm doing the Fleece kit on mine when I take the trans out to replace the clutch. I already have the coolant rerouted back to 5/6 but decided to do this kit as well.

The Fleece kit has a replaceable thermostat in it as well.

The pusher kit is a budget version of the Fleece. If you've got the extra cash, go with the Fleece kit but if you're more budget conscious go with the Pusher kit.

**Side note for what it's worth, with the reroute kit my truck runs about 192-195 degrees in the summer.

It's not needed no but if you pull the camper in you pic a lot it'd help keep the head cooler. And having the trans out makes it so much easier if you decide to get it. We're a Fleece dealer as well if you decide to get one.
