    Shiny Dust In Exhaust Ports/Manifold

    1129201414_HDR.jpg

Doing a turbo swap, and noticed a fine shiny dust in the exhaust ports.

I've also found it in the manifold. I've included a pic, though i'm not sure how well it will post.

All the light specs shimmer under light, and no one cylinder is worst than the other.

My truck is 2017 68RFE with 44k, deleted totally stock motor.

I've been running drd tunes since 4K, and have been ocd with my maintenance.

I drive it on the 200 hp tune with respect.

Not exactly sure what the dust is, or how concerned I should be about it.

    I believe it is carbon.

Soot particles made up of carbon are not being burnt off.

I don't think I would worry about it.

Too much unburnt fuel causes this.

And you did say you run the 200hp tune a lot.

2016 Ram 2500 CCSB 4X4 ,Cat fuel filter delete with water seperator. Thuren suspension
with Fox IFP shocks, thuren sway bar, rear track bar and front track bar, Warn 12k winch , custom winch mount, REVMAX trans pan,HD valve body and thermal bypas. Leer truck topper,Exotic head studs, Engine enhancements by the cummins whisper.

I kinda chalked it up to that, and buttoned it up.

I was worried it was metal at first.

My buddy even said it's probably a chemistry thing.

    I just panicked, cause my 6.0 & 5.9 didn't look like that.

I also never opened them up after cranking the fuel up.

    Definitely appreciate the comment.
