I'm unsure if this is related (something similar has happened before).
I was getting on the freeway (setting 1/+60, which was also unloaded), with around 80% throttle/29psi; it felt like the engine shut off.
It went idle, and the exhaust brake seemed engaged.
Pedal only created MORE smoke.
EGT climbed to 1500, and coolant temp climbed to half (rides typically at 25%).
I got it off the freeway to a vacant lot and shut it down.
I checked the oil (black, but it was at the proper level).
Checked coolant, proper level.
I waited about 2 mins, restarted fine, and idled a little rough.
Responded to the accelerator (though it spewed black for a bit).
I drove fine for 95 miles, went to pass, and around 80% throttle, it stumbled again; this time, I let off immediately.
EGT climbed but was down on power, so I downshifted/slowed down.
Neither instance resulted in a CEL or dash warning.
"The "something si "ilar" is the high boost fuel cut.
I was in Level 3, but I let off power, and all was well.
I reached the top of the hill, and EGT's became reasonable.
Switched to level 0, it seems to take full throttle.
I have Calibrated Power's Stealth 64, which is supposed to have stock VGT mapping.
Does anyone know if DRD tweaks the VGT maps?
Who does WARP tuning now?
