Winter is here.
What does everyone do?
For me, I've been in the temps of -20 at night and the highs around -5.
The cold Alaskan winters' joys, January will be the coldest for us, with the lows down in the -30 to -50.
This will be my first winter with my diesel, but not my first diesel I've owned.
I run the EDT winter additive from hotshot. I keep the truck plugged in when not running.
I keep the def tank at halfway so when it freezes; it doesn't mess anything up when it expands.
I let her warm-up for 15-25 min before I take off. the grill cover will stay on till next April when it starts to warm up.
How are the tuned trucks in the cold months?
I will be doing the MM3 with a 30hp tune and the delete pipe with the flow twister muffler, so it isn't too loud.
I know it will probably take a little longer to warm up.
I know doing the delete will be better since the truck doesn't get up to full temp in the cold months.
On a real note, when it's -40 outside, nothing wants to start, LOL, but nothing stops here.
That's just normal temps for the winter.
Those temps are only last for a week, then it goes back to the -10 to -20.
