    P0087 Low Fuel Rail Pressure

Anyone had any issues with this code?

I have changed the fuel filters, lift pump, and there is a rail plug already in place.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Only things left are FCA and pump.

    I agree with above.

Purchase at a local Cummins dealer.

If you don't have one local shoot me a PM and I can get one sent your way.

The dealer way over charges for these!

Agreed, I guess you could add injector leakage also but I would think other codes should be present.

I haven’t seen it be injector leakage yet.

Most common I’ve found has been filters or FCA.

Are you able to monitor rail pressure?

I do not have any way to monitor the pressure.

My mechanic seems to think its around the injectors or tubes.

I mentioned to him about the pump and he said if it was the pump I would be having issues with the truck not wanting to start too.

Have you had the wait to start light come on at all while driving down the road?

Just wanted to update anyone who may have the same problem.

My mechanic pulled all the injectors to check them but found no issue. He torqued them to spec and also torqued all the tubes to spec.

    Problem solved.

Great News - I guess! (That the problem was actually fixed)

Even though nothing drastically wrong was found.

So was it kind of a injector 0-Ring leaking - since they were possibly not torque to spec?

I'm not savvy on this type of trouble shooting.
