    Getting Turbo Boost Codes

I am getting 2 codes a p006f supply high voltage & p003a boost control supply high voltage.

I still have boost from TC but I have no exhaust brake. Is my actuator going or gone bad or is my whole TC assembly going bad.

Would it be wise to replace the whole assembly now?

Any suggestions on what TC assembly to get if I need the whole thing?

Can I clean the part going bad?

Not looking for more power, but looking for better parts?

    Re: Getting Turbo Boost Codes

Most likely your actuator but I would first inspect the harness and electronic turbo actuator connector pins for the following:

    • Loose connector
    • Corroded pins
    • Bent or broken pins
    • Pushed back or expanded pins
    • Moisture in (or on) the connector pins
    • Connector shell broken
    • Wire insulation damage
    • damaged connector locking tab

Clear codes and see if they return.

If you decide to replace your actuator the City Diesel is better than the original and is self calibrating.

Once the actuator is removed you will need to check to make sure the turbocharger nozzle slides evenly from mark to mark and gear teeth are undamaged.

If you decide to replace the turbo and actuator I would look at the Fleece Cheetah drop in replacement.

    Checked connector all looks good.

Any chance I can remove the actuator and clean it?

Also while I have it off checking the teeth on the turbo will I have to relearn the actuator when I reinstall it?

    No relearn needed.

Depending on the brand calibration is required.

We recommend city diesel since it is 2x stronger than OEM to prevent failure.

    2 year unlimited mileage warranty.

They will warranty it unless “it has coolant in it or been hit with a hammer.”

As mentioned above if you remove the stock actuator and move anything then reinstall you would have to calibrate it.

Cleaning the actuator will not fix your issue as it is most likely an electrical or electronic failure inside the actuator.

Mike is correct and to add on his post, we're 1 of 2 City Diesel dealers.

Just thought I’d ask I’ll probably get the actuator as I have read thru a lot of posts with the exact same issue I have.

The City Diesel actuator is a great choice.

Please keep us posted on your progress.
