Re: Top 5 All Season Tires

I find it hard to even narrow it down to just 5 - when there are so many Hybrid / True All Terrain tires these days. (Awesome Problem to have)

I know with most owners - Price Point is going to be a major factor. (Especially those with 20" wheels)

Just received a email from our favorite Hibdon Tire Plus center offering a kinda sale on their Firestone Destination X/T - 285/60R20 --> Buy 3 get one Free.

These new X/Ts have some good reviews and sporting a new rubber compound (Which makes it a good performer on Ice/Snow).

"Oh The Price Matching Tool is very powerful these days!"

Still to this day -- Possibly still my favorite true A/T tire is the Cooper S/T MAXX & the Goodyear Duratracs --->$$$$$$

I just put falken wildpeak at3 275/65/20 on.

So far they do amazing on the ice and in snow.

Most of the road has 2 inches of ice on the ground and I just drive around fine.

@Arctic picks for your review & update.

There are a few of those showing up in the parking lot @ work - Ya I am a bit odd - I pay attention to what the other 3/4 & 1 Ton guys are running.

I tend to seek after a different brand then what the others are running - The Ridge Grapplers are very popular here - Thus my attraction to the Coopers. (Snow & Ice are my main 2 concerns)

    The closest Discount Tire - Quoted me ---> Toyo 285/60R20 A/T III @ $302 & the Cooper AT3 XLT @ $314 ea

Everything else worth while was over $335 ea

The WildPeak A/T III have some awesome reviews!
    Thanks again...

4.10s & Electronic Lockers in both Diffs would be so amazing - along with a new set (4) of DuraTracs - but dang they are expensive!

4.56s might be a bit to low. (No Idea how this ratio would mesh with the torque curve of the 6.7L & gear ratios of the 68RFE)

I have the Wildpeak on my dually for about 30k miles so far.

Excellent snow/ice traction, good mud/clay traction, low noise with a fairly aggressive look.

The best part is that I’m getting great wear even with frequent heavy towing.

Maybe not as good of a mud tire as the DuraTrac but better for snow (my opinion only).
