    Extended Start and Power Loss

    I have a 6.7L Cummins 4 wheel drive with a DPF delete.

I was cruising around town today and noticed some power loss when getting on it.

Stopped at a corner store, and when I got back in to leave, there was a longer than normal crank time.

Headed home to be safe when I pulled up in the driveway, killed it, and then immediately tried to restart and still had the extended start time.

This makes me think it's the lift pump.

Could the turbo go bad to have this effect?

No excessive whine or noise from the turbo.

What do yall think? Any help is appreciated.

When’s the last time you changed your fuel filters?

    Year of your truck?

Check to make sure your filters are good and tight to make sure it’s not losing prime.

    Any codes?

    No codes.

No residue, no leakage none of that.

    How’s your fuel rail pressure?

    FCA possibly going bad?

I hope others may chime in that has had this issue before.

Maybe you got some bad fuel?

How many miles on the truck?

Hopefully something silly fuel related like a filter.

My first thought was lost an injector or two.

Usually when they’re stuck open they’ll leak fuel and not let the rail build enough pressure to start it.

    Depending on severity yes.

Have you checked oil to see if you’re making it and smelled dipstick?
