    Truck Does Not Move!

Was driving my 2014 ram 2500 68RFE on highway, gave slight gas to keep up with traffic and it felt like the truck was put in neutral.

Truck wont move in any gear.

Thinking it is the inputput shaft.

    Here's what I checked.

I got two codes p0716 for input speed and p0721 for output speed sensor. Looking on my mm3 0 rpm input and 0 rpm output.

Took off inspection cover flywheel is spinning and so is torque converter.

Does not move in 4 high or 4 low.

Also put transfer case in neutral then back to normal, can hear it change transmission still holds park so its not output shaft and the MM3 says trans actual pressure is 120 psi in park so can't be stripped pump.

I let sit overnight to let torque converter drain, then checked fluid level before starting then after starting it was much lower, so the pump is pumping.

    No noise when running.

    any ideas?

Looks like its either two things, broken input shaft, stripped turbine hub (in the converter).

Sounds like input shaft to me.

Hopefully it didn’t take out anything else.

They can tear up internals in a hurry.

Input shaft gets my vote as well.

Input it was, although the break looks more like an alignment issue than torsional.

I did recently replace the rear main seal so I did remove the flexplate and engine side bell housing.

I'm pretty sure the dowels didn't go anywhere.

It's funny my issue is exactly what he is talking about to the T.

Out of curiosity, did the Trans have to be rebuilt, or was the input just replaced?
