2006 RAM 2500 5.9L
The other day after picking up a trailer full of hay, I started hearing a screeching metal on metal type of noise from one of the front wheel areas.
My assumption is that the little bit of added weight played a part.
It was fairly loud, especially when turning. It only made the noise for a little while.
I'm no mechanic and I'm not even that inclined when it comes to doing that type of work.
Having said that, does this sound like a wheel bearing issue?
If so, can someone confirm it's just a sealed unit and simple to change?
If it needs changed, I found this one for half the price of all the others.
Thoughts?
