Newbie Here - 2015 RAM 3500 Aisin SRW

Hey everyone!

Been lurking in the shadows soaking up all the information for years so once I joined the other day I didn’t introduce myself and well that’s rude.

Money for membership was well spent and given the information y’all have provided over time it’s pennies on the dollar.

Anyway I got the push after the ole girl came down with a cough.

Contacted DRD who has a vaccine thankfully.

I have fixed it with the proper “medication” in the past but I want her to never have to worry again and the flashing CEL is never fun to see.

DRD has been awesome thus far going above and beyond.

She’s a 2015 ram 3500 srw with an aisin 295/65/20s and a ton of off road style modifications for camping.

Thanks for all the information y’all have provided and will continue to provide I’m sure.

To everyone else lurking in the shadows come on in it’s nicer in the bought air!!

Is the camper equipped with a generator?

Looks like you can live off the grid if you had to.

Haha, thank you.

No generator has lots of amp hours from batteries that are tied into the truck with a national Luna battery kit with a smart isolator.

We use it for off-grid the cough started on the way back from the Tetons.

If you want to add a third battery since you have a mega cab I’ll give some unsolicited advice haha. Take out the storage behind the rear seat(funky shape anyway) put a platform down, bolt it down with the three bolts used to hold the strange box down, and bolt everyone to that. Plus you can run the wires into the cabin through the vents and cover it back up. (Space between air compressor and battery is for a 2 gallon air tank.)

Seems simple enough if one knows what they’re doing, me, not so much bwaha but between the hubby and son-in-law they can pull it off !!!
We’ve been working on a plan B for the what-ifs after the election and was thinking going “off grid” for worst case scenario, so THANK YOU !!!!! Hopefully it won’t come to that, but still need to be prepared !!
