    Anyone Doing Any Brake Upgrades?

My 2016 is still on stock brakes with about 55k miles.

I have had them checked a couple times in the last 20k miles.

Still ok according to my family mechanic at around 50k miles.

I have noticed a decline in stopping time and I think its time for new.

Unfortunately I have a habit of just throwing money into the truck.

Anyone doing slotted/drilled rotors or big brake kits?

Instead of going with new rotors on my pickup, I switched to Akebono brake pads.

Best pads I've used so far, for stopping and low dust.

That being said, I replaced the rotors and pads on my Jeep Wrangler with Powerstop and I'm very impressed with them also.

I got duralast max and change then every other oil change.

They have lots of pad left but it seems like they squeak/glaze fast because of the exhaust brake doing most of the the work.

Folks at autozone don’t care they have a warranty so it’s all the same to them.

I put this kit on mine and it is awesome.

Quiet, very low dust and much improved performance.

Re: Anyone Doing Any Brake Upgrades?

My Uncle who RVs most of the year - installed this kit on his 2015 Ram last Spring & told me it was one of the best upgrades he has done to his Ram.

He highly recommended I get this done before getting the New 5th Wheel.

    EDIT
He had all 4 done at a local Diesel Performance shop their in Albuquerque ,NM - He's a bit too old to be tackling this job in his driveway.

    My stock brakes went 80k.

I had to use the blunt end of a Michigan Ave to get the rotors free.

I would recommend to get more brake lube, they don't give you enough.
