MM3 Code - SD Card 20002

Hi zane here i read on this and I think my sd card is bad.

I'm pretty lost on these forums and I'm not very computer friendly.

The truck runs fine. but just noticed this code.

What should I do?

Have you removed it and reinstall the card?

You may have to either format it and reload your tunes or just buy another SD card and download your tunes onto it.

Make sure you don’t get a large SD card.

I believe it was mentioned 8mb or less.

I’m sure someone on here will chime in shortly that’s had this issue before friend.

I did unplug it and take out the card.

Didn't seem to help.

The weird thing is truck is running fine so not sure if it's really an issue.

Your truck will run just fine because of the last tune you had programmed into it.

You just won’t be able to change anything until you get your issue fixed.

I would start by checking to see if the SD card is readable by a computer first.

Did you make a backup of your SD card files?

This problem has been well documented on this forum. 20002 is the result of improper formatting of the SD card and/or improper loading of files to the card. If you've added or removed anything from your MM3 card recently, this would be the primary cause of the issue.

If you've not done this, your card has become corrupted by some other means. I have a How To video on this forum of the proper way to load tunes/etc to the SD card to prevent this issue, go through my post history and you will find it.

I don't believe the MM3 will reformat the card to OE spec, but I may be wrong. I've not had to do this so I've not looked for it.
