By the way I know this is an old post but just an update.

I did go with led strobes hideaways and they worked out perfectly.

Don't want any lamp out messages or anything.

    Dude, get "Speed Turtle."

Like law enforcement, it does it all, flashes parking lights, tail lights, headlamps, and alternates.

All you do is plug it into the OBD-II port, and you can either get the switch to turn it on (2 settings) or the pigtail to wire to your switches; I did that and used my AUX1 and AUX 2.

Aux 1 flashes headlamps and markers, tail lights, and backup lamps. AUX 2 does the same thing, just no headlamps flashing.

You can download a program for your computer from their website and put in lots of different programs and patterns, then toggle through them with the button on speed turtle and keep the 2 you like.

    Speed Turtle

    I got this one.

    Re: Wig Wags

I might add, so my OBD-II port would not be tied up, and I couldn't have the speed turtle poking out my lower drivers knee bolster piece, I bought a "Y" connector for the OBD port, the kind with the barbs to one of the "Y" pigtails clicked right into the original spot, the other female end plugged into the vehicle OBD-II harness and other "Y" pigtail is under the dash plugged into the speed turtle.

This is a mini computer (speed turtle), and it speaks to your body module, i.e., TIPM, and commands it to do all the cool stuff when turned on.

No wiring really at all except your input switches to the unit.

This is the exact unit emergency responders use for their vehicles.

I got this Y connector; notice the barbs on the male connector ends; get this style so that it can lock into place in your dash like the factory OBD-II port.

Keep port free for you Mini-Max guys or to use a scan tool.

And of course, if that isnt enough to get attention on the road side while changing a flat etc, I added a 48" emergency light bar in amber with 29 different flash patterns (pattern 6 is my favorite), all visible from my overhead inside control panel, I have take down lights, alley lights, pretty slick.

This is mounted to my headache rack.
