    New Cab Light

Over this past weekend, I installed some new Mopar OEM cab lights.

About a week or two back I got up top, really hit me how much the sun has torn them up, besides a crack or two here and there.

After the first one was on I was just damn!

    A world of difference.

I'm kind of an old school amber lens type of person and have slowly adjusted to the clear.

I had thought about the smoked ones from RECON but for now, it just would not match all the chrome still on it.

Please mind the one long scratch, that is something I'm slowly getting too LOL.

While I was at it I installed some Sylvania LED lamps in them as well.

Straight up the difference, during day time, with the incandescent and LED is no difference.

I haven't had the opportunity to try it at night though.

Still shines well for me the way they are now!

Looks nice, good idea to install the LED lamps, at least they will last longer.

Curious if they would cause a trouble code or error message.

Please post the P/N for the lamps.

I did the same thing to mine about a month ago.

    Looks so much better!

    I am with you.

I liked the stock ones better than the recon ones.

I don't like how the recon ones only light up the front of the lens.

Got mine off eBay Mopar original for like 12 bucks apiece.

No error messages or lamp out messages.

From how I purchase the lamps they came in a two pack and single pack.

    Brand is Sylvania ZEVO LED.

    Two lamp pack P/N: 194ALED.BP2

    Single lamp pack P/N: 194ALED.BP

I put LED's in mine and usually have to replace the set every 6 months because the LED's like to burn out and flicker.

P.S. if you live in MI do not put white LED's bulbs in for the cab lights, the police will pull you over and give you a fix it ticket.

    Hopefully these will work out.

I tend to monitor things like a hawk, or a OCD type of thing.

When I was working second shift and got off early in the morning I would pass a RAM 3500 and this person still has one cab light out.

    It drives me insane!

    I'm sure they did!

Here in Arkansas it is like that as well.
