    Stock 6.7L Cummins Engine Sound

Hello, I am completely new to the diesel truck community.

I just picked up a 2017 RAM 3500 laramie CTD with 116K miles.

    Bone stock.

When I bought it I brought my buddy who knows about diesels and he gave it a clean bill of health, but I can't get my mind past how the engine sounds.

It just has a subtle knock that I can't get over. He assured me it's nothing.

I would rather start saving for a new block now if there is a problem.

I won't be able to post a video until after work.

If anyone has any videos of there engine that would be awesome.

    Thanks everyone for the help.

Glad to be a part of the community.

Yep sounds like it is supposed to.

You may want to have someone check the valve adjustment to give you some piece of mind.

I want to say it is recommended to be checked at 100k anyway?

I did not hear anything that would worry me at all.
