Anyone use the Banks Monster RAM intake with a grid heater delete and put in the BD diesel intake horn heater?

    Banks Monster RAM

I don't use the banks one but I have the Glaicier Diesel Products intake with their grid heater delete plate and the inline heater that goes in the place of the throttle valve.

It works well no codes from the heater and the intake couldn't be bigger it is.

Tight squeeze to get it in there.

    I'd recommend them for sure.

I have the Glacier Diesel intake heater also.

Works great, very happy with it.

Unfortunately it will not bolt up to your Banks Intake Horn.

Is your grid plugged or are you running big power?

Also how cold is it where the truck is?

It’s not plugged but I thought I might be able to get more air flow in

Unless you are making big power 900hp ball park there are no gains to be had.

Flanagan tapped his Banks elbow and used a BD Diesel Heater element on his and it works.

Any upside to delete the grid and install a elbow?

    Re: Banks Monster RAM

Better airflow and during the colder season the engine doesn't surge 3-4 times while the grid heater turns on and off.

I love my 6.7L Cummins now that the grid heater is gone!
