My wife would not even drive the truck because she felt so unsafe now she loves to drive it but It is sitting in the driveway with the transmission out.

Daisy is dying to get to her next horse event Revmax 700 on the way.

    @flanagan so here they are!

My intermediate shaft bushings finally came in.

Here's what I used to install them, I rusty c-clamp I got from a junk yard in Fallon NV, and a 25yo bottle of red lock tire.

    Here are some before pictures.

There was a pretty good amount of play in it for sure.

Here is the set up I used to get the bushing in.

Bushing all pushed in! Super easy!

And for added security i put a hose clamp around it to make sure they don't go anywhere.

All in all, it no kidding it took less than 30 mins to go get them out of the mailbox, gather some tools, fully install them while taking pictures, and put everything away.

I know this because I did it in the 30 mins that dinner was in the instant pot haha.

I was back inside with minutes to spare.

    Ill know tomorrow LOL.

I drive about 44 miles one way to work everyday.

Should be plenty of time to figure out.

Definitely when I go over the high-rise bridge.

It is grated plus the bumpy road work on either side that should pull me around a bit.

If you buy this bushing kit & install with low miles do you think it's going to prolong the life of the bushing?

Since now the pin won't be moving/pivoting only getting drive line vibrations.

If no one knows, ill let you know if it makes any changes.

    Just brought them from CJC.

Right now of this post I have 10k miles.

I also have had a Steering brace with less then 50 miles on the truck.

To me a $10 experiment is worth it.

Synergy Steering brace, Draglink, & Tie Rod, Thuren front leveling coils & Track bar, 5160 Bilstein Shocks, Banks CAI intake, LED everything, projector headlights, dieselfuelfilterkits, Steelcraft Line-x Door Sills, Elevation Front Bumper with Line-x Pro.

    I think that it will.

The new bushings you are gonna install basicly bypass that anti vibration bushing and turn that joint into a regular u-joint.

On my drive to work this morning I could feel a good difference.

I didn't have the under steer at the beginning of a lane change then the oversteer condition when trying to straighten out so that in and of itself is a win.

I guess I will have to look into a new intermediate shaft in the future.

I know these bushings are really just a temporary fix to the issue.

With the steel pin in the center of an aluminum bushing.

It won't last forever but it did save me from buying a new and un-needed steering box.

Now at least I know what the issue is and only spent 12 bucks.

On a side note, the CJC off road is a preferred dealer by Carli suspension.

I talked to the company directly and they told me that the best place to get their products is CJC.

Most other places that carry Carli products are drop shippers vs CJC actually stocks the parts and Carli puts them in priority over drop shippers so you will get them quicker.

    Nice write up!

Should have replaced the axle u joints while you had the axles out.

    Thank you!

I thought about doing the u-joints but they are still tight.

I don't use the 4wd very much so I'm sure that is why they have lasted so long granted even the ones in the rear drive shaft are still good to go.

I do think that I may need to replace the front drive shaft.

I just found the grease fitting for the cardin joint like two weeks ago after several times searching for it.

It only was driven for 8 years and 126000 miles and was never greased LOL.

I think that may be were I have a slight vibration coming from.

That double cardan joint in the front shaft is a real PITA.

Just did mine a few months ago.
