Thread: New Or Old?

    New Or Old?

What's up everyone - I'm the manager behind DieselProgrammers.com and we'll be grabbing platinum membership soon here!

We're still deciding on a truck to pick up for our store.

I've driven a couple rigs before, but never owned a diesel myself personally.

We're torn between getting something nice and new vs. going old school to avoid a lot of the de**te headaches.

It's happening either way. And I've always been partial to RAMS for their styling and the Cummins name for being a huge player in all levels of diesel, not just automotive.

I'm an ex-oilfield guy in Texas, ATX specifically.

Open to hearing opinions on the new vs old debate.

I have a lot of digging to learn about which years have what, etc.

This isn't my first rodeo doing so.

I've learned 10ish platforms in detail just not diesels.

    Keep whistlin'

    Welcome,

I struggled with the same decision I ended up going with a late model and was able to overcome the issue of a full delete.

How will the truck be used?

Towing? Long trips? Just around town? Advertising vehicle?
