Hit A Deer This Morning - HELP

So I slaughtered a deer this morning.

Was doing about 40 mph it didn’t even touch the grill or radiator (small deer) but it dented my bumper pretty good and flattened a spot in whatever kind of cooler is behind the bumper under the radiator.

    I have a G56 so it shouldn’t be a trans cooler.

    What is it?

Anything particular I should look for after hitting the deer?

I checked under the hood for any clamps maybe knocked loose.

I am towing in 2 weeks.

    2015 Cummins
    G56
    40k miles.

    That would be the intercooler.

I would just look for boost leaks.

Probably a stupid question, but how would I spot a leak?

You can see the turbo boost pressure in the display or with an monitor.

The easiest thing to do is pressurize the system and see. Have to driven it since the hit and can you hear like a sucking or blowing noise of like pressurized air.

I have the kit that is showed in the video below.

Could always just take the opportunity to upgrade the intercooler if you are worried about it.

I've hit my fair share of deer and they always seem to do a ton of damage, so if that's all you got away with, seems like a best case scenario.

    I slowed down a lot.

Hit it somewhere around 30 or 40.

It was a small deer and wasn’t tall enough to hit the grill.

I hope the radiator is ok.

That is the intercooler- like others said just look for leaking fluid from radiator if it shifted intercooler.

Look at your supports on the side too to make sure they didn’t fracture.

I recommend a ranch hand front bumper.

I’ve hit over a dozen deer big and small with my past two truck and have only had to replace 2 fog lights.

Well guys, after seeing it in the daylight and fixing what I could of the bumper, it’s not so bad.

I’ll probably just ride it out a while and eventually get a brush guard incase of future incidents (which I should have done by now honestly) I drove the truck after work today and everything was fine.

No leaks of any sort and I had it up to 28 lbs of boost.

Safe to say I have no boost leaks?

The fan does have a slight wobble now but I’m not so sure it hasn’t always been like that.

If the truck is stock I think just around ~30lbs is full boost. So you're probably good IMO.

28 is normal for stock turbo and not being pushed to max.

I use to see 25-32 psi all the time so I would say you are good.
