ARP VS. IFG VS. XOTIC HEAD STUDS

Does anybody have anything to say about the difference or quality of these head studs?

Just curious if IFG and Xotic hold a candle to the ARP platform or if I should just save my money and buy the more expensive ARP's.

ARP seems to have the monopoly on the fastener game right now and would love to not spend $1200 on 26 studs.

    What is everyone's opinion here.

    Curious what yall are using.

I have watched that video many times and it is very interesting.

I tend to over research things to put it mildly.

After everything I could find it in my opinion just seemed like I was cutting corners not going with the ARP 625+ studs.

It is probably more peace of mind rather than anything else but I look at as a few hundred extra dollars in the long run isn't a deal breaker and that amount of money is cheap for insurance against blowing a head gasket.

I do not have a lot of disposable income so I do consider these things but with the amount of money we put into our trucks over the years I doubt you will look back and see the cost differential as a regret.

I just got mine done and now it's on to the next upgrade LOL.

The only other thing to consider is how much boost you are planning on running.

If not much more than stock then any of them will do the job nicely.

I installed a set of ifgs for a customer had two of the nuts round off at 150 ft lbs.

I called if they said they build them that way they would rather the nut strip than the stud.

Whatever, they sent out two new nuts without hesitation.

I tend not to trust companies that test their own products and claim better results than others for half the price.

My customer has had no issues with them so far.

He’s not pushing big hp numbers though.

I personally recommend arps I’ve installed tons of them on many different applications never once had a issue.

I'm partial to ARP because they're a proven product on high hp n/a and turbo applications.

I’m running just a simple delete kit with tuner at lowest setting nothing else.

I mainly done the delete for mileage and longevity of the motor.

Are studs needed in my case?

I have no other plans for it or adding more power to it.

I was going to give the IFG studs a shot, but might rethink after what @Chrisn162001 said.

That's the only actual real world account I've heard of yet.

You'll be fine without them as long as you drive with common sense.

Studs are always a good idea on these trucks but not at all required but in your case the ARP 425s would be a great choice over the greater performing 625s.

Yes I drive with plenty of common sense.

I just like the fuel mileage I’m getting now and the sound and smell of a diesel.
