Re: Engine Cuts Out At WOT

Hello all, I must apologize for my absence since my last post.

Something about running a machine shop and raising kids leaves very little time for anything else.

I still have not resolved this issue on my truck.

I'm wondering about my turbo actuator, but I'm unsure how to test it or if I should even look in that direction.

I've never felt like the turbo had any issues, but the truck is sluggish some days.

I always use the exhaust brake.

It works great, but occasionally, it doesn't kick on when it's cold out, and I know it should.

Once I start driving, then it will work.

I'm not sure if that means anything.

Usually, the turbo actuator will start throwing trouble codes when they don't perform correctly.

I would recommend monitoring the actual VGT vs. desired.
