Have you checked for boost leaks?

When I was on the 465 I was around 770-850 egt at 80mph with about 5-6psi boost.

    At sea level though.

My gut tells me it’s the elevation difference unless you are up there too. What’s your elevation?

The power seems to be great right now especially if I could use all of it and control my EGT's.

Maybe you could give water meth a shot?

Cheaper than compounds and have been known to cool things down a couple hundred degrees or more while adding power.

Im at sea level. I took the truck to Yellowstone last year which they are 8000 ft above sea level and was ranging mid 800s - low to mid 900s on flat roads empty truck with 35s on 3.42 gears.

Still first thing I’d do is check for boost leaks if he hasn’t checked yet.

Intercooler should cool air and make it more dense which is why you’d lose some boost psi but still make more power.

You only see in the 20s psi for pushing the turbo?

    Re: Turbo Talk

Did you pressurize the system when you checked for boost leaks or just check the clamps?

Better Intercooler is not gonna drop you 15-20 lbs of boost.

Yes, but the cap I made to pressurize leaked I need to get a new one.

Just wondering if I should pressurize at the Turbo or at the inner cooler on the hot side?

I read somewhere on here opening up the flow with the inner cooler and tubes would lower pressure which is how boost as read.
