Hello, 23,700 miles on the 2017 3500 68RFE.
No issues at all until the other day started her up and drove maybe 5 miles down the road, and I noticed it shifted a bit rough with some noise, put it in park on a slight incline (left it running) while I entered a gate code.
Pulled it out of park into drive and Check engine light came on - truck showed me i was stuck in +4 and the brake was automatically applied. Pulled the codes and got
P0944 - Hydraulic Press Unit Loss of Press
P2706 - Shift Solenoid F
So. I turned the truck off, let it sit for a minute. (the gate closed ) turned it back on.
CEL was still there, but the truck shifted fine through all the gears.
I put it in park again, open the gate, put it in drive and drove away.
Shifted fine on the way home, no noticeable hard shifts or anything of the sort.
Drove it the day after about 250 miles towing a small utility trailer, NO ISSUES and the CEL went away.
So, did i just not give the truck a moment/good chance to warm up? Is there a filter loose in the transmission?
I checked the fluid and Cold it is sitting at the dipstick cold marks.
I was going to start the truck up and bring it to temp to see what hot looks like.
Thoughts?
Thank you in advance
