Just wanted to chime in on the stock pan and gasket.
I've got 14,000 miles on this fluid change with no leaks.
I upgraded my last truck with the aftermarket aluminum pan due to the extreme heat, but I haven't needed to upgrade this one so I stayed with a stock pan and used FelPro gasket.
So I’m about to switch to a deep pan thinking mag hi tech my question is do you have to buy a different filter type of just stick with stock.
If I have to switch anyone have any ideas of good filter.

2014 2500 on Fuel rims, custom aluminum grill emblem, mm3 DRD tuned, 4” jamo tbe exhaust, led fog lights, steering box brace, took Vinyl off doors.
The stock filter is on the valve body so no special filter is needed for any size pan.

I think you want to get the 4wd sump filter...there is a note mentioning it.

I’d stick with stock Mopar filters.
You can get a metal screw for your converter filter if you like.
Depending on where you’re located the thermal bypass could be a good upgrade.
My gut tells me your in TX.

So a deep 68RFE pan is not really a deep sump then, just a higher capacity pan?
If not adding an extended oil pump pickup I'm concerned about starvation.
Back in my Mopar musclecar days if you put a deep pan on the engine or the Automatic transmission (727) you installed a different oil pump pickup or pickup extension/spacer.
This extends the oil sump pickup to be the same distance from the bottom of the pan as OEM.
Example: I put a deep pans on 1970 383 with 727 and it called for an extended sump pickup for the engine and filter mount extension for the trans..
Modern day (kindof) added a deep oil pan to 1995 LT1 (manual trans) it calls for an extended oil pump pickup.

I would recommend keeping track of how much fluid you empty out as your baseline.
