    Leaking Axle Seal

My left rear axle appears to have a slow leak. I am supposed to drive 1,200 miles over the weekend, I won't be hauling anything. I can't get it into a shop between now and then. I know there is a risk of brake fire if I was really getting on the brakes, which I do not intend to. I plan to check the gear oil and top it off before I leave and and in between. I can get the seal replaced where I am going. So my question is if I make sure my gear oil stays full is there anything catastrophic that can happen? Thanks!

If it’s a really slow leak I wouldn’t worry to much about it.

Just keep your fluid checked and topped off, you should be fine.
