    Stock Shocks VS Aftermarket

Depending on what you’re doing with the truck, I’d consider looking at Fox or King.

I had Fox 2.0 IFPs on my 4th gen and I have 2.5” King pintops on my 19.

I off road a lot so my use case my differ from yours but both shock options are fantastic.

Plus if you go King you can get semi-custom valving through Thuren or full custom through Accutune Offroad to suit your particulars.

I just installed a set of Bilstein 5100's front and rear and really like them.

Worlds better than the factory shocks.

If I had the $$ to spend, I'd go with King shocks.

I've had both the bilstein 4600 and 5100.

If you're towing/hauling or off roading much get the 5100s.

If you're more on the street, get the 4600's.

    The 4600s ride smoother.

From what I can tell, it looks like I would need to install a 2” leveling kit if I want to install the 5100 shocks up front correct?

    Anyone?
@DDP Does Bilstein make a front shock in the 5100 series that will fit without the two inch leveling lift? Also could you answer the other question below from @watersupply189 . Thanks for your help.

    Curious as well.

Will the 4600 or the 5100 make any difference on a 2016 3500?

Thank you so much for the tag.

The tags help me keep track of everything in my notifications.

We do have access to 5100's that will fit a stock ride height truck just shoot me a message.

The Bilsteins should make the truck ride a little better by taking out the harsh bumps and smoothing them out.

May not be as much as you would like but replacing the oem factory shocks is never a bad thing.
