    Aux Fuel Tank

I'm looking for a titan travel trekker or a transfer flo in bed aux tank, around 50 gallons.

Which one is better than the other?

I installed a 50 gallon in bed “Transfer Flow” tank in 2014.

I picked this brand because they were available in diamond plate aluminum, however now I see they only offer the tank and toolbox combo in aluminum.

Their tanks only are now only available in steel.

I have been very happy with my tank and automatic fill system and it’s been totally trouble free.

Unfortunately I don’t have any experience with the other brands.

    Please keep us posted.

I also have a Transfer Flow.

    Went the diamond plate aluminum.

Something about possible items sliding in the back and plastic that I didn't like.

Eventually something will move back there.

Is the transfer rate from one tank to another slow?

I've known some with it being pumped to the main.

I gravity flow, and even with the spare level low, gravity flow was very acceptable.

OldBiker: Did you install a fuel filter between your gravity feed tank & main fuel tank?

I put on an inline filter from NAPA and change it every time I do my Pre and Final fuel filters.

    Re: Aux Fuel Tank

I got probably a dumb question, but hear me out.

    I can’t afford an auxiliary tank/reserve.

I do, however, have a brand new 16-gallon fuel cell with foam and a level sending unit.

I know the foam would deteriorate and could become a problem.

I wonder if it would be ok to use it as an auxiliary tank and remove the foam.

I could put it in my toolbox with no problem.

I pretty much have everything to plumb it.

Just not sure if the lack of baffling creates a problem.

    I need some advice, please.

Eventually, I plan to get what I need when finances get better—just trying to survive this hectic year.
