Re: MM3: All Custom Files Are Gone

I'm still dead in the water.

This morning I am going to try to take everything back to stock and disconnect the batteries for about 30 minutes, then start over.

    Still looking for answers.

Re: MM3: All Custom Files Are Gone

    Good morning.

    Success!

With the Can Buss and TCM module failure warning/codes, etc...I remained at a loss.

I ended up, once again, disconnecting the batteries (negative cable only) and then the power/data plugs from both the TCM and the Buss. The Buss is a quagmire of wires and the angle/location was a bit difficult for me, but I got it. I let everything sit unplugged for a couple of hours (not sure if that really mattered) and added dielectric compound to all connectors/terminals. OH, I also unplugged and disconnected every wire/cable on the MM3.

After reconnecting everything and powering back up it was time.

The main ECM file loaded without problems and then came the big one.

    The transmission file loaded successfully!

A test drive ensured all was working properly.

    I am so very thankful.

I do have a new question about the MM3 and files, but will address that in a new thread.

I would like to say thank you to everyone here for your support and suggestions.

Please know that your help was truly appreciated!

Congratulations pleased to see your persistence paid off and you got her fixed. I think the biggest lesson learned is don’t ever leave your curious friend unattended in the truck.

    Thanks, everyone!

The lesson learned about allowing people to look/touch the tuner when I am not standing there.

By the way I have a friend that I have listed for sale!

Two years ago he borrowed our skiff to take lady friend for a ride down the River.

Upon return they got out and the boat slowly drifted away. He failed to tie it up! That should have been the first sign! LOL

    Thanks again!
