Interesting, following this logic a dirty filter cleans better than a new one.
I don’t see how a filter can restrict particles down to 2 microns and yet let 10 micron particles through?

Adding braided loom to the hose, should have done that it's a good idea.
I am not taking that filter kit part again, as you put it's not hard but very tedious.
Ended up talking to Cat/Donaldson for something unrelated to my filters, asked about the 416-1225 they are in stock and being shipped.
However the 5814 are still on backorder from what they told me.
Synergy Steering brace, Draglink, & Tie Rod, Thuren front leveling coils & Track bar, 5160 Bilstein Shocks, Banks CAI intake, LED everything, projector headlights, dieselfuelfilterkits, Steelcraft Line-x Door Sills, Elevation Front Bumper with Line-x Pro.
Was looking at the P551311 vs P551319 they gave me, compared to what you wrote.
The difference is the 1319 is the long-life version of the 1311.
1311 is the direct replacement for the Cat 0749
1311 says 3 microns vs 1319 says 4, both 99% and both are Cellulose.
1319 having Meltblown material also in the list for filter.
So much good info, also keep posting the more info the better.
Filter number may change so this data is good keep track of, plus I am still learning of more filters and uses even after talking to the reps then posting my findings here.

Thanks Jeff - I hate these word games!
In your opinion - do you think this (Long Life Version) wording - means Extended Service Interval Filter?
So maybe a 20K-30K miles service life for the 1319?
I'm still scratching my head & pondering - does the Advertised Micron Efficiency of 99% & 99.9% - actually mean these filters are truly 4-6 microns (absolute) @ 100% efficiency out of the box?
I need to look more into this Fleetguard FF63053NN - Direct replacement for the 416-1225.

That's a good question, when I looked up the P551311, fass fuel systems has that filter listed as a 15k fuel interval.
The 1319 should be good for over that, (should) when you look at the vehicles list for the 1319 it shows the C27 ,C18 , and C15 caterpillar with the 27 being a v12 diesel.

@CDIJeff Yes a bit old but possibly a bit bias testing!

I believe a good bit of the test results.
0749 seems to be a really good filter, at the time of the test 2014 as you said a little dated.
Now in the present why would I get the 0749 when the 1225 & 5817 exist.
I really would want to see that same testing setup with the 5817 & 1225.
Can even throw the 1319 in for good measure.
They have a contact number on the bottom of the pdf if anyone is feeling adventurous.

I agree 100%!
I did find myself a supplier of the Cat UHE 416-1225 w/Free shipping = $36.98 ---> (Maybe in time Cat will come out with a UHE replacement for the 0750)
Donaldson DBF8514 = $24.85 shipped
Donaldson DBF8517 = $27.77 shipped
(The P551313 - 1311 - 1319) - Are all great replacements as well at 3 microns @ 99%.
"I know for me - reading many articles on Donaldson (not the Blue Version) Quality Control has worsened over recent years - so I'm kinda leaning towards the 1225"
